1 year ago my wife and I tied the knot. And I have to say I am so much more in love with her today, then I was a year ago.
I want to send out a special thanks to everyone who helped us through our first year.
I love you babe.

“There are two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down,
you got your talkers and you got your doers most people are just talkers, all they got is talk,
but when all is said and done it’s the doers who change this world.
and when they do that they change us and thats why we never forget them.
so which one are you?
do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it?
Because believe you me because all the rest of it is just coffee house bullshit.”

A life of meaning or a life of happiness these are the two paths that lay before us according to Mr. Linderman. We must choose one or the other but we cannot have both.
If you choose a life of happiness you must forget about the past and the future and only life in the moment.
If you choose a life of meaning, you will be prone to get caught up in thinking about the future and regretting the past.
However I think there is a way you can have both.
If you choose a life of happiness but do all we can to make every moment the very best we can, we will inevitably go down a path that will result in a life of meaning.

Killing time = Murdering opportunity
The time that we spend idle as we wait for the next thing we must do in our day can become the most important time in your day. It is your time to do with and think about what you please.
Why then do we spend so much of that time doing things that we hope will make time pass more quickly?
Are we afraid of our own thoughts?
Is it that we don’t know any more what it is that we want to do with our lives, because so much of our lives are consumed with appealing other people?
So make the most of YOUR time.

There are days when I feel like I am so far behind the eight ball trying to make a shot is completely impossible. I feel like my past is still lingering and I will never be free to move forward in what it is I feel God wants me to do with my life.
This is a little something I read when I am trying to get out of that funk.
1 Timothy 1: 15-16
15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

It would appear that people treat Marriage like dating, it’s as if “till death do us part” is a just a bad joke.
Lets dissect this little phrase,
Till – duration of time
Death – Dead no longer alive, no heart beat, six feet under.
Do us – meaning both people involved
Part- leaving each other, meaning now that you are dead you can go your separate ways.
In short the only way either one of the people involved is getting out of this thing alive is if the other person dies.
I am really trying to figure out the misunderstanding here. It seems like it’s such a simple phrase, where does the freedom to leave someone before you or the other person are dead come into the equation?
So now getting married is just an advanced state of dating, there is no real commitment and we are free to leave when the other person is no longer fulfilling our expectations.
